How Driver Education Works in Washington:
Traffic safety education is regulated by the Department of Licensing.
It does not matter where you enroll, the requirements are the same;
• 30 Hours of classroom (15 two hour sessions)
• 6 Hours of driving
• 1 Hour observation
(this requirement in fulfilled when the student is driven home after their drives)
The class schedule below refers to the class portion of the program.
The in-car lessons are scheduled at roughly equal intervals during
the length of the program.
FEES:
Basic state requirement course (6 in-car lessons) 695.
Optional program (8 in-car lessons) 895.
2011 Classes
One-Day-a-Week Weekend Classes:
Students can attend either Sat. or Sun. each weekend
The classes are completely interchangeable
